Just wanted to compile a few notes as you begin planning to integrate Ooh La Lemin’s products into your site – here are a few key tips on how I would do it to maximize organic search traffic and ensure the transition is as seamless as possible!


  1. Utilize Exact Match Lemonaid Flavor Keywords in the URLs: Don’t feel like you need to include “Ooh-la-lemin” in every product URL just keep it simple and make your new product URLs something like “sprecher.com/products/peach-lemonaid”
  2. Redirect From the page level and NOT the domain level: Go product by product on Ooh La’s pages and redirect those to your product pages – then of course redirect all other pages of Ooh la to your home page but at least by doing it at the product level Google will pass the keywords over to your site MUCH faster as you are showing them exactly where you want users to go and not making Google guess or assume. 
  3. Right Keywords on the Right Pages: Focus on ranking for your main keywords that nail the search intent of each and every page you create. Design each page (product, collection, or blog) with specific intent to rank for exactly one keyword – and watch as thousands rank up!
  4. Strategic Content: Don’t be afraid to post full blog style content pieces on the very bottom of your product and collection pages. These pages naturally get tons of links so adding more content (designed to rank for specific keywords) will give Google more ammo to help rank you higher!
